I had the blues pretty bad after I wrote that last post. I emailed Rikki, who always knows how to throw me a life preserver when I’m drowning. She wrote right back with some magic words and admitted it had bummed her out pretty bad too. So yesterday she came over with a dozen organic lemons which we threw in my juicer. We poured the juice in my blender with lots of ice, some Tito’s Handmade Vodka, and some liquid Sugar in the Raw and made a pitcher of vodka lemonade slushies:
I have dinosaurs in my kitchen.
When ever I have guests over for drinks, they choose what color they are that day from my rainbow glasses. Yesterday, I was red and Rikki was blue. We both chose yellow straws and we sat outside on my terrace, which I pretend is a treehouse:

Then, Rikki put a sweater on her head. And we were happy.
This is a happy song from us, to you, without any cliches about what you can do when life hands you lemons.

You post a Stones song on a day where I’ve listened to nothing but The Beatles…
Well, now it’s a Queen song!
Well, aren’t you sneaky? I have no counterpoising band for Queen and if I did, I wasn’t listening to them anyway.
Now I’m happy all ovr again! Where’s my turban…
Sounds like a great time.
Serious envy for those rainbow glasses. Glad you both had fun.
I came across your blog while searching Queen. I love this song and your blog! And, I love the dinosaurs in your kitchen.
Thank you, Katrina. I have even more dinos now! It’s getting out of hand. Please come back and visit us (our music selections, words, quirky videos and my dinosaur-invaded kitchen) anytime.
And, this song is one of Queen’s best. It cures the blues.
Thank, you! I do love dinosaurs.
I’m finding some neat songs through your blog.
