Seamstress For the Band is a funny sort of blog. We decided to combine little pieces of prose (by us) with a song (not by us.) We don't write about music. We write along side it.
We choose songs we love, without preferential treatment to what is new/popular/unheard of/faster/slower/happier/sadder. We do our best to keep a good blend: something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, and then we offer it to you like a proposal, a bouquet of lemon jonquils, a tiny gold band, a partnership between words and music.
All MP3s are offered as samples for a period of 1-2 weeks. Please support artists by purchasing albums legally.
To download:
PC users: RIGHT + CLICK on the song title and "Save Target As" to the folder you would like to save the mp3.
MAC users: ALT/OPTION + CLICK and "Save Target As" to the folder you would like to save the mp3.
If you are the copyright owner of a sound file we've posted and would like for us to remove it, please let us know and we will be happy to comply.
If you are an artist or represent an artist and would like to submit an MP3 for our consideration, please email as an attachment to mp3@seamstressfortheband.org.

Thank you.
Beautiful. I cried.
Well that was pretty much the most awesome thing I’ve seen in ages. You two are blessed by the surroundings you live in, the diversity of souls you found to have expressed their views in the video just show what a great part of this planet you have chosen to live.
What a perfect little gem of a video you’ve assembled. I know I’ll be watching it again and again throughout the day, especially when I find I need a little inspiration.
Thank you, Chuck! We’re blessed also to have you as a reader. xo
Man – is this Atlanta? Seems pretty interesting and diverse and not at all like I imagined. How’s the public transpo? I’ve been looking at a walker friendly city for a while. I need to get out of the place I’m in.
Great vid by the way.
It is Atlanta, and yes, it is quite diverse–more so the closer in your are to downtown. It is not, however, a walking city. It’s spread out. There are neighborhoods (like mine) which are conducive to walking and there is public transportation as well. But if you’re wanting to give up your car, I’d recommend New York. Or Paris.
Well done, very moving! I especially like the World symbolism @ 4:53!
Def want to give up a car but I don’t want to live in New York – though I’d love to visit – and can’t afford Paris. Maybe San Diego or Francisco then, hah, hah.
Beautiful. So much was said, even besides what was said.
